Sungrow Gets Inverter Testing Approval

Sungrow praised by American product approvals organization

Leading photovoltaic (PV) inverter company Sungrow has been granted in-house product testing approval from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an American safety and certification provider with extensive testing facilities worldwide for testing product samples. Sungrow’s testing center has been evaluated by UL as world class about a range of assessment criteria including technology, engineering expertise, and testing ability.

Improved product to market process through faster testing

Because of its approval, Sungrow will now benefit actively from UL’s Witness Test Data Program (WTDP). This program allows approved third parties and customers, including Sungrow, to officially conduct PV inverter tests at their own facilities and using their own engineers. Given their strong focus on R&D, participation in UL’s program will considerably speed up Sungrow’s ability to develop and test new, efficient, and more cost-effective energy solutions.

Further international approval by TÜV Rheinland and other certification bodies

This latest approval adds to Sungrow’s growing reputation as a world leader in PV inverter technology. The Chinese company has previously received product approval for its PV inverters from TÜV Rheinland and another German certification body, as well as further verifications, proving that its PV inverters have been independently tested and certified to meet specific standards.
